Bradshaw and Hunter
Story Page

This is how it all got started.
Many moons ago in a small section of Birmingham, Alabama called Center Point, two young men were starting out their families with new homes and new jobs. One named Rob Bradshaw and the other named Bill Hunter. They were to busy trying to make a living and trying to pay all the bills to be thinking at all about music. They did have a few spare moments of times to their self's every now and then, when they got to play their music. But only to their self's. Neither knew the other could play even though they only lived  1/2 a block apart. Then one day,as luck would have it, Bill Hunter's son Scott was playing with the neighbor hood kids next door to Rob's house. When he returned home Hunter asked where he had been and Scott said he had been next door to Mr. Bradshaw's house. Hunter then asked what Mr. Bradshaw was doing, and Scott said he was playing his Guitar in the back yard. That is all it took: Hunter grabbed his Banjo, and headed to Bradshaw's house.
Even though Bradshaw and Hunter came from different styles of music, there was something special about them together. Rob's music was from the 60's and Hunter's was from the 50's, but together they played music from the 70's and 80's.
It is hard to tell what their style was. Somewhere between John Denver and The Grateful Dead. I guess you could say they were Folk Singers.
Not trying to sound like any body but their self's.
Bradshaw with all the talent and Hunter with a lot of guts (as Hunter would say) took on the music scene in Birmingham. After a few gigs around town, they found a home.
Tant's Shipwreck (Hatch Covered) Lounge. This was the place where all the skin divers would hang out. A small place that seated about 60 or so people, but what a place.

This is going to be the page where we post all of your stories about Tant's. It will be called: The Story Page. So send us a few.
